Adagio for StringsSamuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" is well known from the movie Platoon. Students can listen to the three different versions of it below and compare them. How are they the same? How are they different? The students need to listen to them critically to describe the pieces This could be expanded through other curricular domains. Students could compare the different periods in art (e.g. French Impression vs. Baroque).
